Condition guide – How we assess the condition of our clothes at Glam Up Kids

At Glam Up Kids, every garment goes through a thorough quality check before it is put up in our store. We do this so that you as a buyer always know what you are getting and so that you as a seller understand how we assess your submitted clothing.

Here we explain what our skill levels mean and what we look for when we go through each garment.

🌟 New with tags still attached

The garment is brand new and still has its original label.
This could be about wrong purchases, gifts or clothes that have never been used.
No washes, no traces of use, simply a new garment at a second-hand price.

Example: A jumpsuit with the price tag still on or a pair of unused shoes in original condition.

Brand new

The garment looks like new even though the tag is missing.
No signs of use, no fading and no pimples.
It feels new in both color, shape and material.

Example: A dress that has only been tried on or a pair of pants that have been worn once.

💛 Super nice condition

The garment is used but very well cared for.
It may have been washed a few times, but without visible defects, pimples or wear.
The colors are bright and the fit is nice.

Example: A bodysuit that has been washed a few times or a sweater that feels soft but still very fresh.

👍 Nice condition

A garment that is used but still in really good condition.
There may be small signs of everyday use, such as light pilling or very mild fading, but nothing that affects the function or overall impression.

Example: A pair of leggings with some polka dots or pajamas that are a little more washed but still intact and nice.

⚠️ See notes

This is where garments with clearer signs of use end up, but which we still choose to sell, often because they are popular, in demand or unique.
The remark may be a small stain, light wear, bumpy areas or similar.
We always clearly state all such details in the advertisement.

Example: A Mini Rodini shirt with a small stain or a pair of pants with a little dirt on the knee.

🧺 This is how we do our quality control

All garments that come into Glam Up Kids:

  • carefully checked by hand

  • judged on color, material and fit

  • inspected for dents, stains and wear

  • are only sorted further if they are whole, clean and saleable

We always choose quality over quantity so that our customers can shop with confidence and our sellers can feel proud of contributing to a circular economy.

💚 Simply put

  • Wash and go through the clothes before sending them in.

  • Only submit items you would buy second-hand yourself.

  • The better the condition – the faster it sells

Together we make Glam Up Kids a place where second hand feels like new but better for both your wallet and the planet. 🌍
